The Opportunity
We are recruiting for a Nursery Packer to join a plant nursery wholesaler based in Hersham.
This is an immediate-start temporary position covering this week and next week, with the potential for further work.
The work will include repotting plants as well as handling plants and attaching small sprinklers to the watering system.
This is detailed, repetitive work, so you will need nimble fingers, good manual dexterity and excellent attention to detail.
The work takes place within a greenhouse environment, which can become warm during the day.
Due to the location, you must be a driver.
Key Responsibilities
- Repot plants ready for production and distribution
- Handle plants carefully and efficiently
- Attach small sprinklers to the plant watering system
- Complete detailed and repetitive tasks accurately
- Keep working areas clean and organised
- Work as part of the nursery team to meet daily targets
Requirements
- Available to start immediately and work this week and next week
- Good manual dexterity and nimble fingers essential
- Must be a driver due to the location
- Comfortable carrying out repetitive, detailed work
- Comfortable working in a warm greenhouse environment
- Reliable and able to follow instructions
- Previous nursery, packing or production experience advantageous but not essential
