The Opportunity
Immediate start available. We are currently recruiting for a Grounds Maintenance Operative based in Bow, East London. This is a full time permanent role working 48 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 6.00am to 4.00pm. The rate of pay is £14.80 per hour, equating to an annual salary of £36,940.80. You will be working for a growing company, as part of a two-person mobile team, maintaining a range of commercial, residential, and public spaces across East London. The yard is based in Bow. Due to the nature of the role, a full UK driving licence is essential, as you will be required to drive and cover routes when needed. This role offers structured hours, consistent work, and long-term stability.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general grounds maintenance across multiple sites
- Complete grass cutting, hedge cutting, and pruning
- Undertake strimming, edging, and weed control
- Carry out litter picking and general site tidying
- Support planting and seasonal garden work
- Maintain clean, safe, and well-presented sites
- Work efficiently as part of a two-person team
- Use tools and machinery safely
