My client is known for taking excellent care of their staff and it shows in the quality of the products they develop. My rapidly expanding client based in Farnham are looking for a hands-on Head of Production to lead end-to-end manufacturing operations in a fast-paced environment. This role oversees the full production process, including fermentation and/or food production through to packaging/bottling. Ideal for candidates with leadership experience in food manufacturing, brewing, or fermentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily production operations
- Plan and schedule production to meet output and quality targets
- Drive efficiency across labour, equipment, and materials
- Lead, develop, and motivate production teams
- Ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP, and GMP standards
- Troubleshoot issues and lead problem-solving on the shop floor
- Monitor KPIs (output, waste, downtime, cost) and drive improvements
- Work cross-functionally with supply chain, quality, and engineering
Requirements
- Proven production leadership experience in food, brewing/fermentation or manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and quality standards
- Hands-on leadership style in fast-paced manufacturing
- Strong problem-solving and team management skills
- Must drive due to location
