We are pleased to be working with a well-established and growing organisation operating across multiple sites, who are looking to appoint a Health & Safety Advisor to join their team. This role would suit someone who has recently gained their NEBOSH qualification or is working towards it and is looking to build hands-on experience within a busy, multi-site environment. You must be a driver to travel to sites.

As Health & Safety Advisor, you will support the Head of Compliance with the day-to-day running of health and safety across the business. This is a varied and hands-on role, involving site visits, risk assessments, training support, and ensuring compliance with current legislation. You’ll play a key role in promoting a positive safety culture while developing your own knowledge and experience.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the development and maintenance of health & safety policies and procedures
  • Assist with conducting risk assessments and implementing control measures
  • Support the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near-misses
  • Carry out regular site inspections to ensure compliance
  • Help deliver health & safety training to staff
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation
  • Monitor health & safety performance and highlight areas for improvement
  • Liaise with internal teams and external bodies where required
  • Support emergency procedures and general H&S administration

About you:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or currently working towards)
  • Some experience in a health & safety or similar role
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proactive and willing to learn
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

  • IOSH membership
  • Experience within facilities management or a similar environment
  • Any additional H&S related qualifications (e.g. fire safety, first aid)
