The predicted salary is between 24000 - 30000 £ per year.

Our team members are passionate, driven and up for a challenge. If you have ambition to make a difference, then please read on. The main responsibilities for these roles will be to work within our SMT (Surface Mount Technology) cell for the operation of and selection of relevant programmes for our machines, in order to populate the Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs).

The right candidate will ideally have some experience of working in manufacturing and be able to demonstrate some of the skills detailed below:

  • Experience of working in an SMT facility
  • Confidence in working machinery (full training provided)
  • Being able to understand assembly build documents
  • Inspection and touch up of PCBs experience

Additional knowledge of electronics assembly is a huge plus, but we're a believer in getting the right people, with the right attitude, so if you:

  • Have a willingness to learn the new skills required to operate the SMT line
  • Are a great team player who works well both alone and with others
  • Have excellent attention to detail, with good eyesight and dexterity, and the ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately
  • Are reliable and able to demonstrate a flexible approach
  • Have a keen willingness to learn and gain new skills

We'd love to invest in your development so will provide on-the-job training to get you up to speed and then ongoing support to help you achieve your targets.

Job Location: The Bridges, Balliol Business Park, Benton Lane, Newcastle upon Tyne

SMT - Rotating shift pattern (with a Shift Allowance of 15% uplift) 2 weeks of 6.00am - 2.30pm (Mon to Thur) and 6.00am - 12pm (Fri); then 2 weeks of 2pm-12midnight (Mon to Thur)
