This role is to support Production Operations by driving focus, accountability and momentum on the line through effective communication, performance monitoring, system updates, first off and end of line verification, as well as escalation of issues in a timely manner, ensuring production targets are consistently achieved, and the area/line runs smoothly.
Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities in this job description are not restrictive and the post holder may be required to undertake any other duties which may be required from time to time. Any such duties should not, however, substantially change the general character of the post.
Main Responsibilities: 80% of the role
- To undertake the full requirement of PO1 and PO2 production tasks as set out in the skills matrix. This includes the build and fulfilment of all product ranges across numerous production lines and areas of manufacturing.
- Be able to read, understand and follow all required documentation. I.e. SOP’s, QCP’s and Product build drawings.
- To achieve the targets and quality standards set out by Production leadership and planning.
- To work efficiently and effectively as an individual or as part of a team.
- Have the ability to work with cross functional and mixed ability teams.
- Provide daily support to meet customer’s daily expectations
- Ensure that time and quality is of the essence in every activity. Accept that teamwork is a fundamental part of your job. Be flexible enough to comply with all reasonable requests asked of you.
- Ensure that regular communication is maintained with the Production Leader to advise of any issues adversely affecting your performance, any quality/equipment issues must be raised in a timely manner.
- Ensure critical issues are quickly recognised and resolved.
- Create an effective focused working relationship with key internal customers and suppliers. Work as a team – driving quality and performance – recognise your customers and suppliers and ensure partnership activities are always a priority.
- To maintain high levels of communication at all levels.
- Maintain high levels of Health and Safety at all times.
- Keep work area clean and tidy.
- Ensure a “safe and secure” environment, Ensure 100% compliance to EMS and HASAW act 1974.
- Promote, demonstrate and maintain a quality culture including, housekeeping, health and safety and teamwork by ensuring 100% compliance to all Apollo procedures.
Additional responsibilities: 20% of the role
- Perform KPI Board updates daily to ensure accurate performance visualisation.
- Lead or support daily huddles, ensuring clear and concise communication across the team.
- Complete regular walking of the production lines, assessing performance and escalating issues as required.
- To support training of new and existing operators in line with training expectations and documentation.
- Carry out first-off inspections, ensuring compliance to documentation and quality standards.
- Perform end-of-line checks to ensure product conformance.
- Support or lead line changeovers.
- Log calls for assistance and ensure timely follow-up.
- Maintain effective stakeholder communication.
- Maintain and update MCC charts.
- Support 8D investigations.
- Conduct IS checks to ensure process compliance.
Occasional responsibilities: As and when required
- Booking work out on the system.
- Support scrap and rework processing.
- Provide updates via MS Teams channels.
- Assist with investigations / case work.
- Act as Deputy for the Production Leader when required.
- Support with unforeseen circumstances as required
- Attend tiered meetings and provide accurate updates.
- Support Beekeeper account setup, including password resets.
