Although you will have no direct reports your role will be highly influential within Apollo.

As we continue to automate our existing products you will need to apply lessoned learned and knowledge gained to both these projects and to the development of our future product ranges.

You will be key a part of the team advising on mechanical design nuances and electronic component layout to best optimise the final design for automated assembly.

Collaborating with stakeholders throughout Apollo you will identify opportunities for automation, develop the business cases and present them to the Board for approval.

You will own the entire life cycle of the project from opportunity development and vendor selection through to installation and handover to our Shopfloor teams.

You will work closely with the Test Solutions team, who will provide the expertise required to automate the testing of our products broadening your knowledge base.

In return you will help them to grow by passing on your project management experience and understanding of how working with vendors can allow us to magnify the impact we can have on the business when delivering automation.

Within this role there is an expectation of travel, staying away from home during the working week.

The extent of this travel will vary with each project and will depend upon the locations of the suppliers that you select along with the complexity of the project.

Your main responsibilities will be

  • Automation
  • Major Operations projects (such as manufacturing transfers, site developments etc.)
  • Introduction of digital tools (such as AI) within the Operations function
