Mission:

To lead the Manufacturing teams to achieve maximum productivity and output without compromising health, safety, environmental management, quality, cost and delivery performance. To develop a strong team who strongly align with the Genes of Apollo and hold themselves and their teams accountable for their actions. To have oversight of all staff working on nightshift including maintenance and security.

Accountabilities:

  • Overall Accountability for the areas of Manufacturing within your control at any given time, this includes but is not exclusive to, Health & Safety, Quality, delivery, cost, people, growth and new product releases.
  • Ensure the production plan is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with agreed schedules and quality standards.
  • Monitor operational performance against agreed KPIs, communicate results through daily management processes, and implement actions to address performance gaps.
  • Promote a strong Health & Safety culture, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, risk assessments, and safe systems of work.
  • Ensure products are manufactured in accordance with approved specifications and quality requirements, escalating and addressing non-conformances appropriately.
  • Overall responsibility for headcount within the areas within your control - ensuring budgetary commitments are maintained and any increases are signed off by the appropriate approvers and in line with the company’s growth strategy.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee engagement.
  • Ensure effective communication and shift handovers to maintain operational continuity and knowledge transfer between shifts.
  • Lead and coach high-performing teams (Production Leaders, Deputy Production Leaders, and Production Operatives) Holding them accountable by use of tools such as the accountability ladder, the SBI Model, 7 habits of coaching etc.
