We are looking for an experienced Electronics Manufacturing Engineer to join us in our state-of-the-art production facility in Grove, Oxfordshire. In this role you will work across our entire product lifecycle, supporting out unique radar solutions through production and supporting the transfer of new products into Operations from development.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and will feel comfortable defining and documenting manufacturing processes and supporting a technologically advanced product. The role is specifically focused around the electronics assemblies used in our radar and the successful candidate will have technical and practical experience in the design, specification and fault-finding of PCB\'s.

Locations:
We have 2 work locations in South Oxfordshire - One at our Grove facility which is located in a new building on the recently developed Grove Business Park, and one in Ardington less than 10 minutes away within an easy commute from areas of Reading, Swindon, Newbury and Oxford
This role will focus on systematically identifying and eliminating issues that cause radar to fail during test stages across the full range of radar models. All issues causing radar failures will be categorised, investigated and where possible resolved. If help is needed from other teams, then you will bring together a cross functional team to resolve the problem.
You will use standard approaches that exist within the company such as the non-conformances, engineering change and root cause analysis with a focus on continuous improvement.
Given your strong electronics background you will own first time yield on board testing, and this will involve refining suitable test instructions for internal and supplier use. For higher volume boards, you will support our suppliers with any test issues and for lower volume boards you will test these directly.
In addition, with your experience of the electronics and keen eye for design you will support the development of new products through input to the DFMEA and PFMEA processes to ensure we design out as many failures modes as early in the development as possible.
Key Responsibilities
  • Full ownership for diagnosing reported faults on production for all our range radars including providing weekly reports

  • Testing and refining test instructions for all our boards.

  • Electronic DFMEA and PFMEA for new products

  • Perform acceptance testing for electronic components going through NPI

  • Owning First Time Yield on board testing (internal and supplier)

  • Support our PCB\'s vendors when have failures during testing (including on site as required).

  • Set up Vendor with Jigs, Subassemblies Builds and Test Instructions in Azumuta.

  • Process Owner for a Health BOM Lifecycle to ensure Part Obsolescence, Last Time Buy, Non-Recommended for New Design through the software Z2DATA.

  • Responsible for updates and keep records of MOD, (Boards Deviation) in conjunction with R&D.
