About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Operative Cleaner to join our team at a local school site. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for pupils and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning classrooms, toilets, corridors, and communal areas
- Following cleaning schedules and company standards
- Using cleaning equipment and chemicals safely (training provided)
- Ensuring all health & safety procedures are followed
- Securing areas of the site where required
Working Pattern & Pay
- Term‑time role with scheduled deep cleans during school closures
- Pro rata pay, spread evenly across 12 months
- Monthly pay includes annual leave entitlement
Important Information (Please Read Before Applying)
- Annual leave must be taken during school holidays (half terms) only
- Annual leave cannot be taken during term time or scheduled deep cleans
- Deep cleans are a contractual requirement and must be worked
- Applicants must be able to commit to the full working pattern
Requirements
- Previous cleaning experience preferred (full training provided)
- Good attention to detail
- Reliable and punctual with good attendance
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- This is a physically active role involving standing, bending, lifting, and manual cleaning tasks
- Enhanced DBS required (or willingness to obtain one)
Safeguarding
This role is subject to safeguarding checks. An Enhanced DBS will be required, and all applicants must be committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable individuals.
