This is your opportunity to learn while you earn, gain nationally recognised qualifications, build valuable hands-on experience and receive dedicated support to help you grow both personally and professionally.

Your Career Journey

Your development will follow a structured five-year pathway:Year 12 | Level 2- Adult Care Worker
Build your foundations in care, learning how to provide outstanding, relationship-centred support while gaining the knowledge, skills and behaviours you need to thrive in your role.Year 3 | Level 3- Lead Adult Care Worker
As your confidence and experience grow, you'll take on greater responsibility and start your leadership journey.Years 45 | Level 4- Lead practitioner in adult care & Level 5- Leader in Adult Care
You'll further develop your leadership, management and decision-making skills, preparing you for future senior and leadership opportunities. Alongside your apprenticeship, you'll have access to Hallmark's bespoke GROW Leadership Programme, as well as development opportunities through Get Ahead and Rev Up. You'll benefit from mentoring, coaching, regular review conversations and opportunities to reflect on your practice and build your confidence.

What Will You Do?

As an Early Careers Leadership in Care Apprentice, you'll work alongside an experienced team to provide high-quality, relationship-centred care that enhances the wellbeing, happiness and quality of life of our residents. Every day will be different, but your responsibilities will include:

  • Building meaningful relationships with residents and getting to know what matters to them.
  • Providing personal care and practical support, always protecting residents' dignity, privacy, independence and choice.
  • Helping residents with everyday routines and activities while encouraging them to remain as independent as possible.
  • Supporting residents to enjoy meaningful activities, hobbies and social opportunities.
  • Observing residents and reporting any changes in their health or wellbeing to your line manager.
  • Supporting a safe environment by raising concerns relating to health, safety, safeguarding, incidents or maintenance.

Most importantly, you'll help create an environment where residents feel valued, heard, respected and at home. We want to help you build a career that you can be proud of. Your journey could take you from: Early Careers Leadership in Care Apprentice Senior Carer Team Leader Future Leadership Opportunities (or other development routes available within Hallmark)

What We're Looking For

You don't need experience to start your career with us. What matters most is who you are, how you treat others. We're looking for people who are:

  • Caring, compassionate, respectful and empathetic.
  • Good communicators who listen as well as they speak.
  • Reliable, professional and willing to be part of a team.
  • Committed to maintaining confidentiality and treating people with dignity.
  • Ambitious about their own development and interested in building a long-term leadership career in care.

Experience caring for a family member, friend or someone living with dementia can be helpful, but it isn't essential. We're more interested in your attitude, values and potential.

You'll also need GCSE Maths and English at Grade 5 or above.
