For Companies A prolific high-end restaurant chain business is currently looking to recruit an experienced Management Accountant, on a 6 month contract, to report to the Financial Controller, and to undertake the following duties:
- Preparation of the UK Group Management Accounts and analysis.
- Development of the monthly management pack.
- Analysis of profit and loss, highlighting key variances, risks, opportunities, etc.
- Budget preparation, and regular forecasting.
- Inter-company accounting and recharges.
- Monthly and ad hoc meetings with budget holders/department heads to facilitate budgeting, budget monitoring, forecasting, explanation of results, etc.
- Monthly journals, accruals, prepayments, etc.
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assisting with the annual audit.
- Assisting the Financial Controller with ad hoc projects, reporting, etc.
Candidate profile:
- Fully qualified - CIMA/ACA (or CA for Australian/New Zealand)
- An experienced Management Accountant.
- Experience of working in a large group structure would be an advantage.
- Excellent communicator and able to present financial information clearly.
- Self motivated and hard working.
- Keen to progress and take on challenges.
- Good finance and MS Excel skills.
