One of our Financial Services clients are looking to hire an Interim Financial Accountant for 3 months. This could easily extend Hybrid working (3 days in, Central London).
Responsibilities
- Partner with the bookkeeping team to review and validate journal postings, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timely processing.
- Own balance sheet reconciliations across key areas including accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and intercompany accounts.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring reconciliations and supporting schedules are robust and up to date.
- Produce monthly management reporting and contribute to the preparation of statutory accounts in accordance with UK GAAP (and other applicable local standards).
- Assist with statutory compliance, including VAT returns, payroll reporting and other regulatory submissions.
- Act as a key point of contact for auditors, preparing audit packs, providing supporting documentation and resolving queries.
- Help maintain strong financial control frameworks and identify opportunities to strengthen and improve existing processes.
- Provide historical financial data and analysis to support budgeting and forecasting exercises.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to automate processes and improve efficiency within finance.
- Work closely with finance and operational stakeholders to ensure consistency and accuracy of financial information across the business.
Requirements
- 4 years post qualified (Essential).
- Ample consolidations experience (Essential).
- Financial services experience (Essential).
