Group Finance Controller
£85-95K + Bonus (18 month Contract)
Central London (Hybrid Working)
My client is a fin tech business and are looking for a Group Finance Controller for 18 months to cover maternity.
- Owning the group consolidation and the preparation of group financial reporting, including reporting by function.
- Owning monthly financial reporting, including automating functional reporting, implementing regional and product-level P&L reporting, and supporting financial KPI reporting aligned to agreed business strategies.
- Preparing and reviewing management accounts in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment.
- Reviewing the work of junior team members, providing quality control and developing the team.
- Partnering with Commercial Finance to support reporting, analysis, and business decision-making.
- Leading the audit transition to new auditor.
- Owning statutory reporting and compliance across the group, including statutory accounts, audit deliverables, and lender and covenant reporting.
- Acting as the senior point of escalation for the Financial Control team and representing finance with auditors, advisers and other external stakeholders.
- Identifying and driving process improvements across the finance function.
- Leveraging AI tools and supporting or leading AI-related projects and finance transformation initiatives to improve efficiency, automation, and process effectiveness across the finance function.
- Getting stuck into ad hoc projects and analysis as priorities evolve - no two weeks look quite the same.
A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
Proven experience thriving in a fast-paced environment - comfortable with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and pace.
A genuine appetite for improving processes and project-managing change.
Strong financial and management accounting experience.
