For Companies Halliday Marx have partnered with a rapidly growing and well-known retail business to hire a Financial Accountant on a permanent basis. This role has hybrid working 2/3 days a week in the office.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and statutory financial statements
- Lead on stock accounting including valuation, reconciliation, and provision reviews
- Support month-end close activities including accruals, prepayments, and journal entries
- Work closely with operations and merchandising teams to ensure accurate inventory reporting
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Ensure compliance with financial controls, audit requirements, and internal policies
- Continuous improvement of finance processes and systems
Requirements
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years of experience, ideally in the retail sector
- Proven stock accounting experience is essential
- Hunter gatherer mindset
- Sense of humour
