Strategic Account Manager – Energy Software & AI Solutions to join our growing UK team.
This role is ideal for a highly motivated sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong customer relationships while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
In this role, you will be responsible for expanding existing customer accounts and developing new business opportunities within the upstream Oil & Gas sector.
You will work closely with customers to understand their operational and business challenges and demonstrate how our software and AI-enabled solutions can improve performance, efficiency, and decision-making.
This position requires a strong commercial mindset, a proactive approach, and a hunter mentality with a passion for generating new business and expanding market presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of upstream Oil & Gas customer accounts.
- Develop strategic relationships with technical, operational, and executive stakeholders.
- Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities.
- Drive software renewals, upsell, and cross‑sell initiatives.
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline and provide accurate sales forecasts.
- Develop account plans and execute strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Understand customer business objectives and align software solutions to their needs.
- Collaborate with Technical Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Marketing teams.
- Stay current on industry trends, digital transformation initiatives, and AI developments impacting the energy sector.
- Represent the company at customer meetings, industry conferences, and networking events.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Account Management, Sales, Business Development, or Customer Success.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong business acumen and commercial awareness.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Self‑motivated, proactive, and highly organized.
- Strong relationship‑building and stakeholder management skills.

- Experience selling enterprise software, Saa S, cloud solutions, digital technologies, or technology services.
- Knowledge of the upstream Oil & Gas industry, including exploration, development, drilling, production, and subsurface workflows.
- Understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its business applications within the energy industry.
- Experience identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities.
- Ability to engage effectively with both technical and business decision‑makers.
