Document Specialist
Job Description
Working within the Quality department the document specialist will be responsible for checking, recording, monitoring, and expediting checks of technical documentation and supplier data as required. Accumulates certified supplier data and other required technical documents. Implements and maintains document control record keeping system. Works under general supervision.
Location: Arbroath
Main duties
? Compliance with company Health and Safety / Quality management system, objectives and development requirements.
? Participates and implements processes that improve Service Quality.
? Actively participates in the company’s Health and Safety Policy.
? Check of manufacturing and supplier created paperwork to ensure compliance to purchase order and manufacturing requirements.
Person Specification
Experience: Experience of Oil Services Industry within a Quality or Engineering related role. Previous experience relating to checking technical documentation would be advantageous.
Qualifications: HNC/HND in a related discipline with 5 years experience.
Knowledge/Skills: Must have ability to interpret documentation and read and interpret technical specifications. Knowledge of manufacturing and quality management systems is essential. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and have the ability to communicate with supplier base where paperwork anomalies are identified. Ability to compile a dossier in an accurate, presentable manner to demonstrate Halliburton’s professionalism and commitment to the customer.
Specialist Knowledge: Able to interpret Metallic Mill certification, Heat treatment charts, Welding documentation, Non Destructive Testing reports.
