Job Duties
Landmark, a Halliburton company, builds software and data platforms that help the global energy industry make better decisions. Our products span subsurface interpretation, well construction planning, reservoir simulation, production optimization, and digital operations. These are tools used daily by engineers and scientists at the world’s largest energy companies and run as cloud-native SaaS platforms and as enterprise on-premises solutions.
Essential Skills
- An honours degree (2:1+) and a postgraduate degree in Geology (at least MSc level)
- Ability to deliver high quality geoscience interpretations to time and standard
- Experience of wireline and seismic interpretation
- Data analytical skills and knowledge of databases
- Experience with coding and analytical languages such as Python, SQL, PostgreSQL etc.
- A professional attitude and a willingness to learn
- Comfortable working within a team and contributing to the geoscience and technological discussions within the company
Desirable Skills
- PhD in Geology or Data Science
- At least 7 years’ experience in the energy industry
- Experience with GIS technologies such as QGIS, ArcGIS
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with FME Desktop or FME Server/Cloud
- Experience with sequence stratigraphy
Responsibilities
- Automation and expediting of workflows
- Assisting the interpretation of well, outcrop and seismic data
- Making interpretative geoscience contributions towards the digital twin
- Generation of regional geological interpretations, including paleogeographic maps, depth frameworks and common risk segment maps (in ArcGIS and DecisionSpace as required)
- Delivering technical presentations to clients and colleagues
- Ensuring standards and quality

Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs. Depending on education, experience, and skill level, a variety of job opportunities might be available from the Technologist to Senior.
