Overview
In this role you support office and field operations for well planning and BHA design, delivering development and design solutions using HMS concepts. You will manage survey and design data, generate service documentation, and produce reports from current software. You’ll build strong technical relationships with customers and advise on equipment capabilities and operational complexity. This is a hands-on role that contributes to efficient well construction and post-job analysis. You work within a global energy services team to enable safe, cost-effective well delivery.
Responsibilities
- Support well planning and BHA design and operation under supervision
- Deliver HMS development solutions for well plans, including anti-collision and BHA design modeling
- Generate design documents and reports using current software
- Apply survey management principles to well planning
- Develop and maintain relationships with the technical customer base
- Consult with customers to determine needs
- Maintain well planning and BHA design databases and contribute to post job analysis
- Advise customers and field personnel on equipment capabilities and operational complexity
Key requirements
- Undergraduate degree in a STEM discipline, preferably Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience including field work at the well site
