Key Responsibilities
- Recruit an experienced Geoscientist with a data science background to work within our customer data integration team based in our Abingdon office, Oxfordshire.
- Work alongside a dynamic team of colleagues with diverse technical backgrounds, contributing towards key business initiatives.
- Maintain strong understanding of specific geoscience domains such as stratigraphy, sedimentology, or petroleum geology.
- Experience working with subsurface datasets (e.g., wireline, seismic, biostratigraphy, geochemistry, rock properties, lithology).
- Experience with Relational Databases.
- Familiarity with AI/ML and its potential to support geoscience interpretation.
- Experience with ETL pipelines and data cleaning.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a collaborative R&D environment.
- Work closely with colleagues from multiple disciplines to refine and enhance workflows – particularly supporting customer workflows and customer data types.
- Stay current with AI/ML technology and geoscience advancements to drive innovation.
- Contribute to customer presentations, particularly regarding customer data and their associated workflows.
- Awareness of data analysis within common dashboard platforms.
- Experience in the energy sector.
Please note, this is a hybrid position so candidates must be able to attend the offices in Abingdon 3 days a week.
