Halliburton Project Management (HPM) provides integrated, end-to-end project execution across the well lifecycle — from concept and design through drilling, completion, and production.

The Project Manager is responsible for leading medium-to-large-scale oil & gas well construction and interventions projects, including high-risk, multi-rig operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable execution. This role serves as the primary client interface and is accountable for full project lifecycle delivery—from contract handover through execution and closeout—while managing operational, commercial, and contractual risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead full project lifecycle execution from contract handover through closeout and demobilization.
  • Develop and manage key project deliverables including Project Charter, Startup Plan, and Project Management Plan.
  • Establish and maintain project baselines for scope, cost, schedule, and risk.
  • Manage operational execution across drilling, intervention, and completion activities, including multi‑rig operations.
  • Coordinate all HPM resources, Product Service Lines (PSLs), and third‑party services for integrated project delivery.
  • Serve as the primary client interface, ensuring alignment on performance, contract scope, and delivery expectations.
  • Manage contractual obligations including performance‑based contracts, lump‑sum turnkey projects, and service agreements.
  • Lead logistics planning, mobilization, and inspection of rigs and third‑party equipment.
  • Review and approve well programs in coordination with technical and operational authorities.
  • Lead pre‑spud meetings and ensure readiness for safe and efficient execution.
  • Monitor project performance against KPIs, risk registers, and budgets; implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and Halliburton policies and procedures.
  • Drive incident reporting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead, develop, and manage project teams, ensuring personnel competency, certifications, and training compliance.
  • Drive lessons learned and ensure proper documentation and closure of all project records.
  • Support medium and long‑term planning to ensure resource readiness and operational continuity.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in oil & gas operations, including drilling, intervention, and/or completions.
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in project management roles with exposure to P&L responsibility and contract management.
  • Proven experience managing full project lifecycle delivery from contract handover to closeout.
  • Experience leading multi‑rig or complex operations with high operational and commercial risk.
  • E&P operators and Oilfield Services (OFS) experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing cross‑functional teams.
  • Strong business acumen, planning, and project control capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across all organizational levels.
  • Willingness to be fully mobile and relocate to project locations as required.

Preferred:

  • Deepwater project experience.
  • Multilingual capabilities (e.g., English, Arabic, and Russian).

Compensation Information: Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience. Location Opportunities may exist in multiple locations.
