We are currently looking for a hands-on Project Manager who enjoys being on site and solving problems, while also taking full ownership of planning, cost control, reporting and stakeholder management. This role requires someone who can switch between practical execution and structured project leadership. This is a field-based, very operational role with frequent travel across the UK. The ideal candidate will have a background in the industry or steel-framed construction, with a passion for overseeing projects from conception to completion.
Key Responsibilities- Be present on site to drive progress, resolve issues and support assembly teams and subcontractors.
- Develop and update project plans, monitor quality controls on site and financial control in each project.
- Coordinate and lead construction activities on-site.
- Manage client communication and expectations.
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with CDM-regulations and quality requirements throughout the project.
- Maintain structured project documentation and reporting.
- Relevant experience from construction (steel-framed structures, temporary buildings or similar is an advantage).
- Comfortable working hands-on on site, solving practical issues and driving progress day-to-day.
- Strong project management and problem-solving abilities.
- Confident communication and ability to build trust with clients.
- Knowledge of construction methods, contract standards, and regulations.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across the UK.
- Familiarity with NEC/JCT contracts.
- HSE and site supervision certifications (e.g. IOSH, NEBOSH, SMSTS/SSSTS) are desirable but not essential.
