We are looking for an experienced Freelance MidâSenior UX Designer to support our Experience Department on upcoming, ambitious B2B website projects.
About the role
This role is about shaping clear, confident experiences from the ground up, helping clients make sense of complexity, guiding users through long decision journeys, and creating structures that support both user needs and commercial goals. You'll work closely with strategy, UI, and development, getting involved early and helping turn insight, intent, and ideas into experiences that are purposeful, usable, and built to perform.
The work includes:
- Full website rebuilds and redesign projects
- UX audits and heuristic reviews
- Retainerâbased UX support, CRO work, and mini audits
- Landing page UX and endâtoâend journey design
- Intelligent experience strategy and UX definition
- Large, contentârich B2B websites with multiple audiences
- Conversionâfocused journeys working alongside SEO and Paid teams
What youâll bring to the role:
- Youâre an experienced UX designer with a strong background in B2B digital experiences.
- Youâre comfortable balancing user needs with commercial goals, shaping clear journeys and page intent that support long decision cycles, multiple stakeholders, and trustâled decision making.
- You stay close to UX trends and emerging technology, with a genuine interest in how AI and futureâfacing tools can support smarter workflows and more intelligent digital experiences.
- Youâre curious, thoughtful, and pragmatic in how you apply new ideas.
- Youâre confident leading focused, designâled discovery, from stakeholder conversations through to discovery sessions, and know how to move smoothly from insight into design.
- Youâre highly capable in defining sitemaps and information architecture for complex, contentârich websites, designing navigation, hierarchy, and structure that make sense across multiple audiences.
- You create clear, purposeful wireframes and flows in Figma, using it as your core design and prototyping tool to communicate intent and guide both UI design and build.
- You understand how UX supports conversion in B2B contexts, designing experiences that build credibility, reduce friction, and guide users through complex journeys.
- You enjoy working closely with strategy, UI designers and developers, designing UX that translates cleanly into buildable solutions.
- You design with accessibility in mind from the start, with a solid understanding of WCAG AA standards, and youâre a clear, confident communicator whoâs comfortable presenting work and working at pace.
- Youâre comfortable working in agency environments and understand the realities of time allocation, budget, and delivery. You adapt your approach to suit each project while keeping quality high and work moving forward.
Experience weâre excited about:
- Strong UX portfolio with website and digital product work.
- Experience designing for WordPress sites. Bonus experience with Webflow, Shopify or headless CMS setups.
- Experience designing or contributing to intelligent digital experiences.
Who youâll work with:
Youâll work with Hallamâs Experience team, a tightâknit group across UX, UI, and development with big ambitions and high standards. Weâre always innovating, pushing boundaries, and working closely together to make work thatâs thoughtful, scalable, and wellâcrafted.
