Hallam Medical has opportunities for General Practitioners to support an Out-of-Hours (OOH) service in York, delivering high-quality, patient‑centred care outside of core GP Practice hours. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary OOH team, providing urgent primary care to patients across a range of settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessing, diagnosing, and managing patients presenting with urgent primary care needs
  • Providing remote (telephone/video) and face‑to‑face consultations as required
  • Undertaking home visits when appropriate
  • Maintaining accurate and timely clinical records
  • Working collaboratively with clinical and operational OOH teams
  • Ensuring safe clinical decision-making and adherence to local pathways

Qualifications

  • GMC-registered
  • Evidence of recent GP experience
  • Strong clinical judgement and decision‑making skills
  • Commitment to patient safety and quality care
  • Previous experience in an OOH or urgent care setting
  • Working knowledge of Adastra / EMIS / SystmOne
