Qualifications

  • An experienced GM with great leadership capability within branded hospitality
  • Comfortable with the operational challenges of a large scale pub operation with sales in excess of 2M pa
  • Competent in kitchen oversight and the control of food production
  • Based in the local area or planning to re-locate
  • An expert in quality food and drink, with high attention to detail
  • A strategic commercially minded operator with experience growing hospitality businesses
  • Diligent with brand standards and processes
  • Well-presented, analytical and proactive in problem-solving
  • Able to commit for the long term
  • Determined to develop and maintain outstanding hospitality for our guests

Hall & Woodhouse is the Dorset based brewer that owns over 150 high end pub restaurants and inns throughout the South of England. Founded in 1777 we are a family owned company that blends the best traditional values with a progressive and inclusive approach to business. We are recruiting a General Manager to lead our fabulous team in an amazing premium pub.

Venue

Riverside Setting - Beautiful Black Rabbit Part of the Hall & Woodhouse family of exceptional destination pubs, the Black Rabbit is glorious providing stunning views across the River Arun and the wetlands beyond, to Arundel Castle - arguably one of the loveliest views in England. With plenty of riverside seating, the pub is a hive of activity in summer and when winter finally sets in, the traditional interior (featuring authentic props from the Harry Potter movies, including the boat from 'The Philosopher's Stone') provides a cosy bolt-hole to relax and unwind.
