The predicted salary is between 12364 - 26142 £ per year.

£12,364.39 per annum (FTE: £24,654.16 - £26,141.85) 17.5 hours per week – Permanent – All Year Round Required to start June 1st 2026

An exciting opportunity to become an essential part of a small, friendly primary school. This is a key-holder position that demands high levels of responsibility and a deep understanding of school safeguarding and health and safety protocols. The successful candidate will undertake a range of caretaking duties to the agreed quality standards, including security, cleaning, porterage and maintenance of the school site and premises, thereby ensuring a safe working environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Security and access control.
  • Cleaning and upkeep of the school premises.
  • Porterage duties for visitors, parents and staff.
  • Maintenance of school site and facilities in line with quality standards.
  • Support safeguarding and health and safety protocols.
  • Communicate with stakeholders and support the team.

Qualifications & experience

  • Experience of cleaning and maintenance requirements.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with a variety of stakeholders.

  • Keyholder competency and knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety policies.
