We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Manager with expertise in quantitative insight to join our team. You’ll be working across a portfolio of accounts that range in size and complexity, managing day-to-day client relationships and overseeing the execution of insights projects that shape decision making for leading brands. You’ll need to have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and critical thinking skills to respond to a wide range of client needs.

Core responsibilities

  • Client Builder - Building valuable relationships with clients. As a Research Manager you will manage and nurture day‑to‑day client relationships, immerse yourself in their business and contribute to work that delivers insight that has an impact on client decision making. You will play a role in client meetings, presentations, and workshops, and speak knowledgeably about the work we do with them, their brand and marketing.
  • Business Developer – Driving business growth with commercial acumen. As a Research Manager you will have a POV on designing research and solutions that answer client questions and contribute to proposal creation and pitch delivery as part of a team (with senior oversight).
  • Expert in craft - Doing the day job brilliantly. You will leverage your key research skills such as questionnaire design, data checking and use of data analysis packages. You will be proficient in complex analysis and analytics techniques, able to extract insight and create engaging deliverables from multiple data sources, including primary/survey and non‑survey data. You will work with the team to run insights projects from start to finish, managing timelines and ensuring accuracy of data and deliverables.
  • Team Player – Giving and getting the best from the team. As a Research Manager you will manage the day‑to‑day running of projects providing guidance to junior team members. You will have line‑management responsibility for 1+ Analyst, holding regular development conversations and setting objectives with the support of your own line manager.

Key attributes

  • Experience managing quantitative research projects autonomously (4+ years), with prior experience as a line manager and/or managing individuals on team projects (1–2 years).
  • Strong management skills strongly desired. Able to lead and prioritise to deliver outstanding quality on time and coach team members to do so.
  • Strong presentation and storytelling skills.
  • Highly motivated and driven, with a hunger to win and grow our business.
  • Expert critical thinking skills and ability to come to leaders with solutions.
  • Able to travel occasionally as the job requires.
