Halifax Opportunities Trust is looking for a motivated and compassionate Employment Advisor to join our team, supporting individuals facing multiple and complex barriers.

  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week
  • Contract Type: Full time
  • Location: Hanson Lane Enterprise Centre
  • Salary: Β£30,000 per annum

We are looking for someone with:

  • Experience of employment support or a similar role involving caseload management, one-to-one support and developing professional partner relationships
  • Level 3 (or higher) qualification in Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) (or extensive equivalent experience)
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust and motivate individuals
  • A positive, proactive and resilient approach

About the Role

We are a partner engaged with Calderdale Council on the delivery of on the governments "Get Britain Working" Supported Employment Programme. This is a voluntary employment support initiative to support disabled people, those with health conditions, and individuals facing complex barriers to employment find and stay in work.

This is a rewarding and varied role, working closely with people to build confidence, address challenges and achieve meaningful progress. You will manage your own caseload, delivering personalised support and working in partnership with a wide range of local services and employers. The role will work in line with the Supported Employment Quality Framework (SEQF), using a person-centred approach to support individuals towards sustainable employment.
