The Opportunity
They are hiring two Senior Java Developers to play a key role in delivering long-term, high-impact projects while helping shape the future of the platform and wider engineering function. You’ll join a high-performing team of 20+ engineers, working on a mix of greenfield and evolving systems, contributing across a full-stack, microservices architecture. This is more than just a coding role — it’s an opportunity to build technology that directly improves lives.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing and developing scalable Java-based microservices
- Contributing to greenfield development and system architecture
- Building full-stack functionality (Java backend + JavaScript)
- Collaborating with Product, Engineering, and stakeholders across the business
- Driving best practices in CI/CD, testing, and software quality
- Supporting delivery of long-term strategic projects
- Mentoring junior developers and contributing to team growth
- Playing a role in shaping technical direction and engineering standards
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial experience in Java
- Solid experience with SQL / relational databases
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms
- Familiarity with Spring Boot or modern Java frameworks
- Experience working on SaaS platforms
- Background in large-scale or regulated environments
