Halian is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join a leading manufacturing organisation within Medical Devices based in East Suffolk. This role is ideal for someone passionate about maintaining high standards and ensuring product compliance with industry and customer specifications and will work shift pattern (6-2, 2-10)
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct incoming, in-process, first article, and final release inspections.
- Ensure products meet mechanical, physical, and visual specifications.
- Maintain compliance with ISO 13485 and cGMP/FDA standards.
- Support quality and engineering teams in process investigations and improvements.
- Uphold critical GMP requirements including inventory management, document control, and calibration.
- Contribute to waste and scrap reduction initiatives to improve profitability.
- Maintain and support the Quality Management System (QMS).
Key Performance Indicators
- Number of defects, violations, discrepancies found on in process checks.
- Improvements to process activities.
- Customer-reported non-conformances.
Essential Skills & Attributes
- Knowledge of quality standards (ideally ISO 13485 or cGMP)
- Methodical, logical, and detail-oriented approach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and interpreting technical drawings.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Effective time management, planning, and decision-making abilities.
- Nice to have experience in sterilisation methods/practices, and/or lab experience in Microbiology or similar.
