We are seeking a skilled .NET Developer to contribute to the ongoing development of a data-driven analytics platform within the Insurance sector. This is a hybrid role, with two days per week working on-site in central London and the remainder working remotely. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, helping to design and build scalable software solutions that support insight-led decision-making for non-life insurance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and enhance features within an insurance analytics platform, contributing to its long-term technical direction and responding to user and stakeholder needs.
  • Write high-quality, maintainable code primarily using .NET, with opportunities to work in other languages such as Python.
  • Work closely with professionals from different disciplines, including analytics experts and engineers, to translate complex insurance concepts into robust software functionality.
  • Apply established software engineering best practices to ensure code quality, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
  • Explore and prototype new tools, technologies, and approaches to support innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing across the team, supporting a culture of learning, collaboration, and technical excellence.

Skills and Experience

  • Strong experience developing applications using C# and modern .NET frameworks - ideally 5+ years of working with .Net & Azure.
  • Exposure to, or enthusiasm for learning, cloud-based platforms and services, particularly within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
  • Advantageous to have experience with Azure Batch.
  • Experience building APIs and working with data storage technologies, including modern NoSQL databases.
  • Solid grounding in software engineering principles, such as automated testing, version control, and clean code practices.
  • Interest in the insurance or financial services domain, with an appetite for working at the intersection of technology and analytics.
  • Clear communicator, comfortable explaining technical ideas and collaborating with a range of stakeholders.
  • Analytical and solution-oriented mindset, with a drive to continuously improve both systems and skills.
  • Experience working in Agile or iterative development environments.

Nice to have:

  • Python experience.
  • Experience within the Insurance sector.
  • Experience with Azure Batch.
