Senior Front-End Engineer Reading - 2 days a week Hybrid Our client is an established, international technology business delivering high-traffic digital products used by both organisations and individual users worldwide. They are currently investing in a significant transformation programme, modernising their core platform and front-end architecture to support future growth and improved user experience. Senior Front-End Engineer to take ownership of complex user-facing features and play a key role in shaping how modern front-end applications are designed and delivered. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality digital experiences, contribute to architectural decisions, and support the ongoing evolution of the front-end platform. You should be comfortable operating across the full development lifecycle and confident using modern tooling, including AI-assisted development, to improve speed and quality. Design and build scalable, user-centric interfaces across a variety of digital journeys Contribute to and evolve front-end architecture, component libraries, and shared patterns Maintain high standards across performance, accessibility, and overall user experience Support production stability and continuously improve the quality of live systems Utilise modern development tooling, including AI-assisted coding tools, throughout the SDLC 610+ years building production web applications TypeScript React, Vue.js, or similar Solid front-end engineering fundamentals including: Performance optimisation Experience with automated testing (component and end-to-end) using tools such as Playwright, Cypress, or similar Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deploying front-end applications in cloud environments Familiarity with backend-integrated front-end development Experience with platform modernisation or migration projects Knowledge of API testing tools Exposure to AI-assisted development workflows A competitive salary and benefits package is available, including: Generous annual leave with increases based on service Additional personal day allowance Pension contributions Life assurance and health-related benefits Diversity & Inclusion Our client is committed to building an inclusive and diverse workplace and welcomes applications from individuals of all backgrounds.
