We\'re looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join a major financial services organisation delivering critical technology change across a complex enterprise environment.
About the Role
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in Agile teams, enjoys owning test strategy and approach, and has a passion for automation and quality engineering.
Responsibilities
- Reviewing business requirements, functional specifications and technical designs to create high quality test scenarios and test cases.
- Defining, documenting and presenting Test Strategies and Test Approaches to stakeholders.
- Executing both manual and automated testing across multiple workstreams.
- Designing and maintaining automation frameworks and regression test suites.
- Managing defects through the full lifecycle, including investigation, triage and resolution support.
- Working closely with developers, business analysts, product owners and release teams.
- Providing regular status updates and managing stakeholder expectations.
- Reviewing and assuring the quality of testing artefacts produced across the team.
- Supporting Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups and retrospectives.
- Collaborating with teams across onshore and offshore locations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working as a Quality Engineer, QA Engineer, SDET or Test Automation Engineer.
- Strong background working within Agile delivery environments.
- Experience creating and owning Test Strategies and Test Approaches.

- Playwright
- Experience testing APIs and integration services.
- Strong defect management and root cause analysis capabilities.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working with Azure Dev Ops and/or ALM.
- ISTQB or ISEB Foundation Certification.
