Halian, an NES Fircroft Company, are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Recruitment Consultant to work within the IT and Tech markets, either in the contracting or permanent desk. You will develop business development strategies to attract new clients, understand hiring requirements and deliver tailored recruitment solutions. You will be responsible for sourcing, screening and shortlisting high-quality candidates for a range of technical roles while building strong client and candidate relationships.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Business Development & Revenue Growth: Develop and execute targeted business development strategies, generate new leads and expand your client base within IT or Finance markets to achieve revenue targets.
- Strategic Recruitment Management: Operate within fast-moving, candidate-driven markets, building market maps and creating targeted recruitment strategies aligned to client hiring plans.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships, consulting on hiring strategies and delivering tailored recruitment solutions based on business needs.
- Recruitment Process Management: Manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle including role qualification, job advertising, sourcing, screening, interviewing and shortlisting candidates for technical roles.
- Service Delivery & Talent Pipeline Management: Source, screen and maintain strong pipelines of junior, mid-level, senior and specialist candidates to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery.
- Commercial & Performance Management: Support commercial activity through rate negotiation where required, managing placement performance and ensuring delivery aligns with revenue targets.
- Operational Collaboration & Reporting: Work closely with internal teams to track activity, maintain CRM accuracy and provide regular updates on pipeline, performance and delivery.
- Market Insight & Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activity and market developments to ensure recruitment strategies remain competitive and effective.
- Networking & Market Presence: Attend industry events, conferences and meetups while building strong online and offline networks to attract high-quality candidates and clients.
- Mentorship & Team Support: Support and mentor junior team members while promoting best practice and high-performance standards.

What We’re Looking For
- Recruitment Experience: Proven background in recruitment, ideally within IT, Technology or Finance markets, working in a 360 agency environment.
- Business Development & Sales Skills: Strong sales capability with experience generating new business and developing client portfolios.
- Client & Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both clients and candidates.
- Market & Technical Understanding: Ability to understand technical job requirements and accurately match candidates to specialist roles.
- Prioritisation & Pace: Ability to manage multiple roles, clients and priorities in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Systems & Technology: Experience using job boards, LinkedIn and recruitment systems, or willingness to learn new platforms.
- Qualifications & Education: Degree preferred but not essential, with proven recruitment experience (ideally 2+ years within IT, Tech or Finance recruitment).
- Personal Attributes: Self-motivated, target-driven and highly organised, with strong decision-making skills and the ability to work independently while collaborating with wider teams.
