The children at Halfway Nursery Infant School are seeking a new part‑time class teacher from September 2026. This post is a temporary position for one year, budget dependent, and the successful candidate will be expected to job‑share a class with another teacher, ensuring they contribute fairly to the classroom duties alongside playing their part in the wider culture of the school. The role will be in either KS1 or EYFS (this includes nursery).

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high standards of teaching and learning for all pupils through carefully constructed task designs and challenges in lessons.
  • Ensure that all children are ready for the next step in their education as they move to our federated Junior school.
  • Help children positively contribute to their communities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • The successful candidate must be a good team player.
  • Ideally, the successful candidate will have experience of working within the EYFS and KS1 curriculums.

Other Requirements

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of children and young people. The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS.
