We’re looking for a Finance Business Partner to provide finance partnering support across Avayler – delivering high‑quality insight, robust reporting, and constructive commercial challenge to help enable and optimise the delivery of the Avayler strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with Avayler leaders and managers as their trusted Finance advisor, building strong relationships and providing insight, challenge, and commercial guidance to support strategic decision‑making.
  • Own and deliver budgeting, forecasting, and planning for Avayler, working in alignment with FP&A and translating numbers into a clear story around performance drivers, risks, and opportunities.
  • Provide clear visibility of financial performance, owning rolling P&L outturn reporting and proactively identifying risks and opportunities as the business evolves.
  • Shape and support business cases and investment decisions, challenging assumptions, quantifying value, and guiding stakeholders through governance and approval processes.
  • Collaborate with Management Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Shared Services to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely financial delivery.
  • Design and embed meaningful KPIs and performance reporting, combining financial and non‑financial measures to support operational and strategic decision‑making.
  • Work collaboratively across Avayler and Group Functions to optimise processes, make best use of shared resource, and improve outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement, simplifying ways of working and leveraging systems, automation, and insight to increase efficiency and impact.

Qualifications

  • A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a strong track record in finance business partnering roles.
  • Commercially minded, with the ability to translate business objectives into financial insight and focus activity where it delivers the greatest value.
  • Confident building trusted relationships across the business, influencing stakeholders through collaboration rather than control.
  • A dynamic, outcome‑driven self‑starter who brings energy, flexibility, and commitment to a fast‑moving environment.
  • An excellent communicator, able to clearly articulate complex financial messages to both finance and non‑finance audiences.
  • Highly capable in Excel and financial modelling, with experience in commercial, cross‑functional environments (SaaS or software experience an advantage).

Benefits

  • A fair and competitive salary evaluated against market data, car allowance, annual discretionary bonus scheme, pension, life assurance, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays and enhanced family leave.
  • Commitment and dedication to your ongoing personal and professional development.
  • Access to a wealth of employee discounts across the Halfords suite of products and services.
  • Wellbeing and inclusion at the heart of our colleague experience, with ongoing support and active Colleague Networks supporting inclusion initiatives across Halfords.
  • Hybrid working policy with 2 days on site at our Support Centre in Redditch.
