We’re looking for a Category Buyer to take full ownership of our adult mechanical bike proposition – a core part of our cycling offer. In this role, you’ll develop and drive the customer proposition, shaping ranges that meet the needs of every rider. Working closely with the Head of Category, you’ll influence product strategy, pricing, supplier relationships, collaborating across the business to build the best brands in the market. You’ll work with UK and global partners, suppliers and factories to deliver genuine innovation, quality and value. This is more than a buying role – it’s an opportunity to create experiences, spot trends and help us stay ahead in a fast‑moving industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and develop the adult mechanical bike category, delivering a market‑leading proposition and range embedded in customer insight.
- Use data‑driven insights to monitor performance and make informed decisions with regards to trading plans and range building.
- Build and grow strong relationships with strategic suppliers to drive innovation and value.
- Negotiate effectively to secure competitive pricing, promotional support and profitability targets.
- Collaborate across eCommerce, Marketing, Operations and Supply Chain to champion and bring our Category Plans to life.
- Coach and guide an Assistant Category Buyer to support effective sourcing and delivery.
About You
- Experienced in Buying or Category Management within a fast‑paced retail environment.
- A confident negotiator with a strong track record of commercial delivery.
- Experience in sourcing and developing market‑leading own brand ranges.
- Data‑driven, customer‑focused and commercially sharp.
- A natural collaborator and leader who thrives on making an impact.
