About the role
As a Commercial Support Administrator, you’ll be at the heart of Commercial Support, ensuring the accurate, right-first-time delivery of commercial plans across product and supplier data. From vendor and product setup to pricing, promotions, and multi-million-pound rebates and contributions, your work will underpin key commercial activity. You’ll also act as a trusted supplier contact, supporting critical business processes within a tight knit team of seven.
Key responsibilities
- Creation of new vendors and ongoing maintenance of existing vendor records, including terms and conditions.
- Creation of new SKUs and maintenance of existing ones, ensuring accuracy of status, attributes, and data integrity through quality control processes.
- Ongoing maintenance of recommended retail price and cost prices across all retail categories, including tyres for Halfords Garages (HAC).
- Support the execution of core promotional campaigns entering and reporting on commercial plans.
- Advise commercial buyers on the most suitable promotional mechanics based on system capabilities.
- Communicating with suppliers to confirm monies owed based on Rebate and contribution agreements, working with Finance to ensure settlement of any claims.
- Support the centralised ticketing process through quality control reporting and managing communications to retail operations.
- Provide the commercial teams with insights relating to risk, opportunities, and data quality control.
- Drive the creation of process flows and influence adherence to governance standards.
- Assist with internal and external audits to ensure data quality and uphold business integrity.
About you
- Established administrative experience and a keen eye for detail.
- Analytical and curious minded, with a natural interest in understanding data.
- You have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote.
- Experience using SAP, PIM systems, Enable or Power BI would be highly desirable.
- Discretion when handling commercially sensitive information.
- Well organised and able to manage, plan and prioritise workload effectively.
- Experience working in a retail commercial environment is desirable.
- Adaptable and open to change, helping to develop and improve processes over time.
- Team Player - happy to work independently as well as within a team environment.
