This is a predominantly field-based position but requires presence on site at our Redditch office 1 day per week.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Halfords in a New Business Sales Manager role, with a strong focus on new business development and lead generation. You will be responsible for identifying, engaging and winning large corporate clients, opening doors with senior decision-makers and converting cold prospects into long-term customers. Working closely with the Senior Sales & Account Manager, you will support sales strategy and play a key role in driving B2B revenue growth.
Day to day, you will be heavily focused on cold prospecting and outbound activity, including cold calling, networking and client visits. You will deliver persuasive presentations both in person and online, manage opportunities through the full sales cycle, and keep your pipeline and CRM fully up to date. Working to clear KPIs and targets, you will bring energy, structure and momentum to new business activity across the team.

Key responsibilities:- Generate new business through proactive prospecting, cold calling, outbound outreach, networking, and client visits
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of new opportunities, keeping CRM systems accurate and up to date
- Own the full sales cycle from initial contact through to close for large corporate clients
- Deliver engaging sales presentations and proposals, both in person and online
- Work to defined KPIs and sales targets, with a clear focus on new customer acquisition
- Support the Senior Sales & Account Manager with sales strategies, campaigns, and acquisition plans
- Identify and pursue new routes to market and growth opportunities
- Maintain strong internal relationships to support deal progression and delivery
- Provide limited account management where required, without detracting from new business focus
- Proven experience in B2B sales with a strong track record in cold outreach, lead generation, and winning new business
- Comfortable prospecting and engaging senior decision-makers through phone, email, and face-to-face meetings
- Confident presenter, able to clearly communicate value and influence clients both in person and online
- Commercially minded, with the ability to understand client needs and convert opportunities into revenue
- Highly motivated, resilient, and driven by targets, KPIs, and measurable success
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, with experience using CRM systems to manage pipelines
- Self-starter who enjoys autonomy and takes ownership of performance and results
- Collaborative team player, willing to support wider sales strategy and growth initiatives
