The role involves supporting our Cycling and Warehouse & Distribution (W&D) areas, working at the heart of the business to drive commercial performance. This is a newly shaped role within a growing finance function, where you’ll act as a trusted partner to category, retail and B2B stakeholders, providing insight, challenge and support to help shape decisions and unlock value.
You’ll spend your time out in the business, working closely with stakeholders to understand performance, evaluate new propositions and influence decision-making. From analysing data and identifying key drivers of performance, to supporting investment cases and ongoing trading decisions, you’ll become the go-to person for financial insight. You’ll help teams understand the levers that impact profitability, challenge assumptions, and ensure decisions are backed by robust, data-led analysis.

Key responsibilities:
- Partner with stakeholders across Cycling and W&D, acting as a trusted advisor on performance, opportunities and risks.
- Provide commercial and financial support and challenge to investment projects and initiatives, including creation of business case, spend control, tracking of benefits to ensure key outcomes are met.
- Analyse trading performance, identifying key drivers, trends and areas to improve profitability. Ensure stakeholders understand current position vs budget and be close to opportunities and risks.
- Translate data into clear, actionable insight to support decision-making across category, retail and B2B teams.
- Challenge assumptions and influence stakeholders to drive better commercial outcomes.
- Quarterly forecasting and budgeting, highlighting opportunities and risks to Leadership team to ensure strategy is in line with overall objectives.
- Develop a deep understanding of category performance, identifying key levers to drive value.
About you:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a strong foundation in finance.
- Demonstrable experience in a finance business partnering or commercially focused finance role.
- Proven ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders across different levels of the business.
- Strong analytical capability, with experience using Excel, Power BI and ERP systems (e.g. SAP) to interpret data.
- Confident communicator, with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insight.
- Commercially minded, and able to identify drivers of performance and opportunities to improve outcomes.
- Proactive and self-motivated, comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
- Curious and detail-focused, with a problem-solving mindset and a drive to challenge and improve.
- Able to balance multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and delivery.
