We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Family Law Solicitor to join our established Family Law team at our Bradford office. The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload of family matters, providing high-quality legal advice and representation to clients on a range of issues including divorce, financial settlements, child arrangements, and domestic abuse. You will be joining a supportive team with a strong client focus and commitment to delivering excellent legal services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied caseload of family law matters, including divorce, financial disputes, child custody and contact arrangements, cohabitation issues, and injunctions.
  • Provide clear and practical legal advice to clients, often in emotionally challenging circumstances.
  • Represent clients in court and at mediation, as appropriate.
  • Prepare legal documentation including applications, witness statements, and consent orders.
  • Negotiate settlements and liaise with other solicitors, counsel, and professionals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in accordance with firm policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, SRA standards, and the firm’s internal procedures.
  • Contribute to business development activities, including networking and maintaining client relationships.

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor with at least 2+ years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) in family law.
  • Strong knowledge of private family law, including financial remedy and children proceedings.
  • Excellent client care and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage a busy and varied caseload independently.
  • High standard of written and verbal communication.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in using legal case management systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £40,000.00 per year
