Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lecturer in Chemistry to join our Science department at Halesowen College. In this role, you will deliver Chemistry to full-time and part-time students and create a positive learning environment that promotes curiosity, confidence and high aspiration. You will design and deliver engaging schemes of work that embed ambition, inclusivity, diversity, respect and care, while incorporating the development of English and Maths skills.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Chemistry to full-time and part-time students and create a positive and inspirational learning environment.
- Design and deliver engaging schemes of work that embed ambition, inclusivity, diversity, respect and care, and develop English and Maths skills.
- Develop an inclusive curriculum and learning culture; produce accessible, relevant course materials linked to real-world employment opportunities where appropriate.
- Personalise teaching to support individual learning journeys and help students overcome barriers to achieve their potential.
- Contribute to safeguarding and a safe recruitment process; comply with Enhanced DBS and safer recruitment checks as required.
- Participate in whole-college and departmental activities to support learner success.
