Overview
We have an exciting opportunity at Halesowen College for a Lead Lecturer in Carpentry and Joinery. In this role, you will lead and deliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment that provides a high-quality experience to motivated students preparing for a career in the construction trades.
You will have the expertise to deliver engaging and industry-relevant topics across a range of Carpentry and Joinery programmes, including first and second fix, partitions and stairs, roofing, flooring, carpentry maintenance, and safe operation of tools and machinery. As Lead Lecturer, you will support curriculum development, mentor colleagues, and ensure high standards of teaching and assessment are maintained.
Working collaboratively across curriculum areas, you will ensure that learners develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviours needed to progress into employment or higher-level study. A passion for the subject, strong industry knowledge, and a drive to inspire students to achieve and succeed in their chosen discipline are essential.
