An exciting opportunity has arisen at Halesowen College for a Lecturer in Forensic Science. In this role, you will work towards and deliver effective learning, teaching and assessment that provides a high-quality experience to enthusiastic students who are passionate about the subject.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced individual, preferably a qualified teacher, to join our growing and popular Science department in September 2026. The department is large and diverse, offering a wide range of courses including A Level Sciences, Level 1-3 Applied Science, a successful Forensic and Criminal Investigation programme, and a Higher National in Applied Science (Forensic Science specialism), all delivered by a dedicated team of specialist staff.
With access to bespoke laboratories and industry-relevant resources, the successful candidate will contribute across a range of courses, with a particular focus on delivering Forensic Science units within our Level 1, Level 2 Applied Science courses and Level 3 Forensic and Criminal Investigation programmes.
The ideal candidate will bring subject expertise in forensic science or a related discipline, with the ability to inspire and engage learners through practical and theoretical delivery. A commitment to high standards, student progression and inclusive teaching practice is essential. While the primary focus is Forensic Science, the ability to contribute to teaching in another science specialism, such as Biology, Chemistry or Physics, would be desirable.
