Halesowen College is seeking an enthusiastic, supportive and highly motivated individual to become a Progress Coach within the Business department. This is a rewarding role at the heart of the student experience, where you will take ownership of tutor groups and play a key role in shaping their journey through college.

As a Progress Coach, you will lead and deliver a structured tutorial programme within your designated area, working closely with Health and Social Care Managers to design engaging and meaningful sessions. You will be responsible for a caseload of students, delivering pastoral themed tutorials, supporting them both in group tutorials and through one-to-one mentoring.

A central part of the role is taking full responsibility for tracking and monitoring student progress. This includes closely overseeing attendance, academic performance, behaviour and engagement, and intervening early to provide the support students need to succeed. You will build strong relationships with your students, helping them overcome barriers, maintain high standards, and achieve their full potential.

Beyond the classroom, you will guide students in preparing for their next steps; supporting them with enrichment activities, work experience opportunities, university applications, and developing the skills they need for life beyond college.

This role would be particularly well suited to a graduate looking to gain meaningful experience in education, pastoral support, or student development, while making a genuine difference to young people's lives.
