We are recruiting for Out of Hours Staff to join our Emergency Duty Team based in Norwich.
The role involves answering emergency telephone calls from service users, their family members, Care Managers, and our Care Workers, supporting them with their queries. Previous care experience would be ideal, as the nature of the role and the calls you will handle require a strong understanding of care settings.
Shift Patterns & Working Hours (Including every weekend):
- Friday: 5:00pm – 11:00pm
- Saturday: 6:00am – 3:00pm and 3:00pm – 11:00pm
- Sunday: 6:00am – 3:00pm and 3:00pm – 11:00pm
Pay rate: £13.00 per hour
A driving licence isn’t required, but successful candidates must be able to get to the branch reliably for their shifts.
Other duties include:
- Ensuring all calls, incidents, and sickness are documented and reported/escalated if required.
- Logging all incoming calls and documenting actions taken.
- Assigning care to care workers on our electronic care planning system.
- Adding medication to the service users' electronic MAR charts and ensuring changes to their planned care are updated in real time on the electronic care planning system.
- Dealing with out-of-hours GP, ambulances, local authorities, and safeguarding when required.
