We’re currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join a well-established and forward-thinking engineering company. This is a great opportunity for someone with production or factory experience who enjoys working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.
Job Purpose: As a Warehouse Operator, you’ll support day-to-day warehouse operations including stock handling for production lines, goods receiving, packing, wrapping, and distribution. You’ll work within a multi-functional team to ensure smooth supply chain processes and maintain safe working practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload trailers and vehicles
- Operate across warehouse and yard functions
- Perform wrapping and strapping tasks
- Manual handling and heavy lifting
- Feed fast-moving production lines efficiently
- Operate manual handling equipment
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in a production, manufacturing or factory environment (essential)
- Counterbalance or Reach forklift licence (essential)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Self-motivated, with a positive attitude and good initiative
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Good level of Maths and English
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (due to rural location)
- Knowledge of the wire, cable or signal industry (desirable)
