Hales Group are recruiting for a CNC Machinist to join our client based in Lowestoft, Suffolk. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and growing business, working within a busy and modern workshop environment. This role is suitable for candidates at various stages of their career, from newly qualified machinists through to those with some hands-on workshop experience looking to further develop their skills. This permanent position offers full time hours on a rotating shift pattern, including early and late shifts, working as part of a skilled and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the manufacture of precision components using CNC and manual machining methods
  • Support the set-up and operation of CNC milling and turning machines
  • Work from engineering drawings and job specifications
  • Assist with tooling changes, machine set-ups, and production runs
  • Carry out deburring, finishing, and basic inspection tasks
  • Ensure all work meets required quality standards and specification
  • Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment
  • Follow company procedures, including Quality and Health Safety guidelines
  • Support general workshop and production activities as needed

Requirements

  • Engineering or machining qualification preferred, although practical experience will also be considered
