Hales Group are currently seeking a Vocational Trainer (Engineering, Welding & Motor Vehicle) to join a well-established education and training provider in the Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft area.
We are looking for an experienced and qualified individual to support apprentices across Engineering, Welding and Motor Vehicle pathways, ensuring learners achieve the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to successfully complete their apprenticeship programmes.
Main Duties of Vocational Trainer Include
- Managing a caseload of apprentices and supporting them to achieve their apprenticeship within agreed timescales.
- Planning and conducting progress reviews in line with quality, funding and compliance requirements.
- Delivering training, coaching and ongoing support to apprentices and employers.
- Supporting learner inductions and ensuring all parties understand programme requirements and expectations.
- Monitoring learner progress, attendance and off-the-job training activities.
- Completing employer health and safety reviews and maintaining accurate records.
- Supporting apprentices with preparation for End Point Assessment (EPA).
- Using One File and other systems to record learner progress and evidence.
- Building positive relationships with employers and providing advice on apprenticeship opportunities.
- Attending quality, standardisation and progress meetings as required.
To be considered for the role of Vocational Trainer
- Level 3 vocational qualification in Engineering or Welding & Fabrication (essential).
- Occupational experience within Engineering, Welding, Fabrication or a related technical discipline.
- Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy.
- Level 3 Teaching Qualification or willingness to work towards.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to motivate and support learners towards successful outcomes.
- Assessing qualification or willingness to achieve within 12 months (desirable).
- Experience within apprenticeships, training or work-based learning environments (desirable).
- Knowledge of apprenticeship funding requirements and One File software (desirable).
Working Hours & Pattern
- 37 hours per week.
- Monday to Friday.
- Flexibility may be required to meet learner and employer needs.

£16.62+ per hour DOE
