Our sought after client based in Biggleswade are looking for a Foreman to join their team on a Temp to Perm basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced candidate within the Sheet Metal Industry to join a well-established business and team.
Main Duties as a Foreman:
- To supervise the fabrication area of all skilled and semi-skilled employees to ensure assigned work conforms to quality, time, and productivity
- Ensure sufficient task analyses are completed to carry out work safely
- Coordinate and allocate work to shop-floor employees in accordance with directions
- Monitor the use of materials and care of equipment and plant to minimise waste and damage
- Ensure that all mechanical labour is constantly employed efficiently and effectively
- Ensure that all work is carried out to quality and specification requirements and that documentation is completed on time
- Ensure housekeeping is ongoing by maintaining a clean and safe workspace
- Enforce safety rules through ongoing communications and Toolbox meetings
- Conduct preventative maintenance on machinery equipment and mobile equipment
Requirements as a Foreman:
- Must be multi-skilled in fabricating, welding, press-brake experience etc.
- Must have strong English speaking skills
- Previous experience working within a Managerial/Supervisory environment
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy loads
- Strong team player
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Willing to adapt and learn
